Imaginarium
This series takes the concepts I explored in the Chaos of a Mind series and incorporates a personal touch - rather than visualizing broad concepts, I focused on my own mind and mental state. These initially started as 4 poems I wrote, which built into a landscape that I explored - my "imaginarium," a space devoted to my imagination and psyche. Follow the links to go to the full poems.

Welcome to the Mind
“Welcome one, welcome…
Well, one.
This is the world you live in,
But not the world you live in.
Here, every thought exists,
Every memory relives,
Every image creates,
Every sound resonates.
Where imagination is reality,
And reality is imagined.
Welcome to the mind city,
The Bifurcated Mind.”
-Taken from the sign in the entrance to the city.
The City’s Pattern
Running along the crisscrossing avenues
Between the skyscrapers of my mind.
Turning down the alleys -
Faster, faster.
Never stopping, never resting
Always just flying past the thoughts as
The words, signs, ads fly by me.
The Slow Walk
I curl up into my little ball,
Hug my knees to my chest,
Put my face in my hands
And wipe dry my eyes,
To no avail.
The Overwhelmed Puppet
The electrical wires tug me forwards.
The puppetmaster has taken his hold.
The Illuminated Path
I close my eyes,
Running blindly through alleyways,
Running blindly through alleyways,
Fluttering batlike around my world,
Uncertain of who I am.
Uncertain of who I am.
